John had a difficult Sunday, crying in pain often during the afternoon and evening and having obvious abnormal discomfort when pooping or passing gas. Ruth and Pauline took him to see the surgeon on call at Cooks Children's today. She told them that John was having normal post-surgical pain and upped his Tylenol frequency to every four hours.
Bevo, John's beagle, had a vet visit today for soft-tissue damage making him wake on three legs. Evidently both John and Bevo will recover soon.

I'm so sorry he's having so much pain,, that's especially hard when they're so little and there's so little that you can do. Don't worry about housework or anything for a few days and just sit and watch some favorite movies while holding him.
