Trial and Error

Today was all about trial and error.  It was not a bad day; it was just a trying day and pretty entertaining too.  The morning was uneventful.  Other than, of course, for the early 430 am wake up for breakfast.  It is trying.  Ever since the sun started setting earlier, Bubeaner has been going to bed earlier.  Great!  But because of it, he is also waking up earlier.  Not so great!  Today we kept him up later until 830p so hopefully this will make for a more decent start tomorrow morning.

Bubeaner stuck under his burnt orange chair.
He keeps crawling backwards.

Bubeaner spent the morning practicing his crawling while Momma cleaned and put his clothes away.  For some reason, he started crawling backwards again.  At one point he got stuck under the chair in the nursery.  Bubeaner's way of dealing with it was by crying.  The dogs, in turn, tried to get him out by pushing and moving the chair.  They helped their baby!

Bubeaner on his new foam play mat.

Sadly that was not the last time Bubeaner cried today.  We bought him a foam play mat to save his little (ha!) head from the wood floor when crawling.  We thought it was the perfect solution.  Bubeaner did not.  He cried every single time he was placed on it.  Every single time.  Eventually, he agreed to play on the mat for a few minutes, but he was not happy.

He was also not happy at being denied access to the kitchen.  He serenaded Momma with a whining "aboooh, aboooh, aboooh" during dinner preparations.  Thinking about it, Bubeaner was pretty grumpy today.  But it did not feel like it because in between he was all smiles and giggles.  We did a lot of playing and tickling.  Some days you gotta take the bad with the good.

Unfortunately, Bubeaner did not react as we expected.

Momma spent the entire afternoon (3+ hour) unsuccessfully putting up curtains/curtain rod in the dining room.  The result was multiple holes on the wall, the sheer panel up and only one panel of the darker curtains up since Momma picked up the wrong length of curtain rod.  Ha!Ha!Ha!  At least there were no tears this time.  Instead Bubeaner kept hugging the sheer panels and talking to them just like he does to his blankets.  This may prove a problem in the future.

Busy Monday

WE LOVE THE RAIN!!!  It's been raining nonstop since Friday.  The lakes have been filling up again.  We would have preferred to have gotten the same amount of rain in the course of a month.  But WE LOVE THE RAIN!!!!

Bubeaner's Hazmat Gear (rain gear)
The nurses thought it was cute. (Of course!)

But more importantly, Bubeaner slept through the night!

He had been waking up every 2-3 hours the previous two nights.  We figured he may have caught Momma's cold.  He coughed a couple of times and had a slightly (very slight) elevated temperature; it was not technically a fever.  And he did have a lot of drainage.  This may have also been upsetting his tummy; he was back to explosive reflux despite the Nexium.  He spent most of both nights in our bed.  He appeared to get more sleep there although we got less. A LOT LESS.

It was wonderful to get more sleep last night.  Especially since Bubeaner spent the entire night in his crib.  YAY Bubeaner!

Sunday aunt Pau taught Bubeaner how to drink through a straw.
It's a good thing since he refuses to use a sippy cup.

The rest of they morning was spent running errands throughout the metroplex.  There should be a special place in heaven for the person that came up with drive-thru idea!  They are wonderful and truly time-savers when working with an baby.  Pharmacy, dry cleaners, banks, coffee (hehehe)... it usually takes longer to get all our stuff together and Bubeaner down and back in the car than the time actually spent inside  But with the drive thru it's done in a breeze without disturbing the baby!  Someone should consider a drive-thru pet drop off at the groomers and vet.

Should we be worried?
The kitchen is now off limit.

In the afternoon wejoined Dad as he completed his pre-surgical work-up.  He is still in a lot of pain, but hopefully the surgery next week will improve that.

Loving the Season

The boys are enjoying the start of the "most wonderful time of the year" with games, games and more games.  Uncle Jeff joined them today to watch the Cowboys.  Bubeaner really enjoyed spending time with his Godfather.

Dad waited 10 months for Bubeaner to grow into this jersey.
We agree it was worth the wait.

Despite the fun the guys did try to stick with Bubeaner's nap time routine.  Try was the operative word.  Bubeaner would have none of that.  We finally gave up and allowed him to stay up to finish watching the game.  It was adorable watching the huge grin and hearing the giggle when uncle Jeff picked him up from his crib.  He was pretty good too considering the lack of nap.

Bubeaner playing with uncle Jeff's hat.
Those sparkling eyes just shout mischief.

Of course, Bubeaner zonked out after his 3pm feeding and slept for 1-2 hours.  He is slowly weaning himself off this feeding skipping it some days.  We are just following his cues and letting him guide us.

The boys cuddling while watching the game.
Sandy had to sneak some love too.

We just adore his many smiles.

Hook 'Em!

Bubeaner enjoyed watching the 'Horns 2nd game of the year with Dad, uncle Delwin and 3-year old Mason.  He sported his burnt orange 'Horns pants.  His little bum looked adorable!

The Cutest Burnt Orange BumBum Thanks to Mrs. Seale.
Hook 'Em!

Bubeaner behaved extremely well during the game/visit probably because he slept through the first part.  He even spent some time chatting with uncle Delwin.  It was important to catch up from their last visit.  And, of course, they discussed the Horns questionable early start.

Bubeaner discussing the game with uncle Delwin.

This was also Mason and Bubeaner's first meeting.  They were not sure what to do with each other at first.  But they soon came up with a game plan.  Mason would push Bubeaner in his walker up and down the hall.  They also played with some of the toys together.  Ok, so it mainly consisted of Mason handing Bubeaner a toy that he would then throw on the floor to be picked up by Mason again.  Mason was extremely patient and careful with Bubeaner considering his young age.

Did you notice how the heads look almost the same size
from this angle?  Thankfully, it was just an angle/perception issue.

More Meetings

We are all recovered from our cold.  YAY!  We spent the morning cuddling and cleaning.  YAY for cleaning!  Bubeaner appears to like it as much as Momma.  Or he may just like watching Momma running around the house.  Either way the house looks great except for a few areas (craft closet and garage).

Bubeaner's Entourage
This is pretty common.  The puppies are never far away.

The highlight of Bubeaner's day was meeting his great aunt D and great uncle G who were in town for a visit.  We enjoyed hearing childhood stories from uncle G while he played with Bubeaner.  And Bubeaner also enjoyed some loving from aunt D.  The only stressful time was at the greeting when Bevo made a move to protect Bubeaner from a "threatening move" from 3-lb, toy poodle Hazel.  Thankfully, other than the scare of her little life, little Hazel was unharmed.

Prayer Request

****UPDATE****
Baby Rex Christopher is here and weighs 1lb.  Valerie's platelet count is increasing.  Please continue to pray for this family.
****************

Please keep Valerie F. S. and her baby in your prayers.  She was 26-27 weeks gestation and had to deliver her baby today due to complications with the pregnancy.

Calling Mommy

Momma woke up with a bad cold this morning.  In retrospect, the symptoms have been there for a couple of days but caring for a baby kept us too busy to notice.  So Bubeaner and Momma spent the day in a cocoon at home: everything dark and quiet.  Bubeaner was bribed with cheeri0s and taped episodes of Se$ame $treet and Vegg1e Ta!es.  (Has anyone else noticed E!mos highpitched voice?  After a while it's pretty annoying.)  Bubeaner did not appear to mind.  Of course, he was also cuddling in bed with Momma.  He loves cuddling in bed.

Bubeaner was entertained by taped episodes.
He would move around the room until E!mo started speaking.

Sadly it meant we missed Gymb0ree today.  We teach Bubeaner to share, but cold germs we try to keep to ourselves.  We will also be missing church group tomorrow.  There is no sense in sharing this "joy" with the grandmothers.

We woke up from our nap to find Sandy had joined us on the bed.

Most people sundown and feel worse at night.  Momma being unique tends to feel better towards the end of the day.  This was helpful since today Bubeaner was more active in the afternoon probably from all the inactivity in the morning.  Babies do not make allowances for ill parents.  We played and sang some.  Ok, we played and he squealed at the top of his lungs.  He also spent a big part of the afternoon on his new favorite game: Lets-see-what-we-can-get-off-the-table/chair/TV console/planters/etc.  Those little hands are adept at getting a hold of things!  We have to keep an eye on him at all times.

Momma was not feeding him fast enough.

But the best part for Bubeaner was dinner.  Momma had made herself a tomato-based pasta soup (like Bita used to make her) for lunch.  And Bubeaner had some of the soup for dinner.  He L O V E D it!  He had well over a cup.  Obviously it helped that this one was seasoned unlike the baby meal he tried last week.

Boys Will Be Boys!

Today was an experiment on how many ways Bubeaner could gross out Momma.  And he did a good job.

Usually he stays in the walker while Momma gets ready in the mornings.  But this morning he was on the floor in the bedroom to practice more on his crawling.  A quick inspection showed there was nothing on the floor or within reach that could harm him.  He soon gave up on crawling and played next to Momma with Sandy near him.  He was soon entertained with a green ball.  The problem is that he does NOT have a green ball... but Sandy does.  GROSS!  Sandy brought the ball to him.  And that is great since Sandy does not share her toys with anyone including Bevo.  But, it was hard not to gag knowing that Bubeaner had been biting the ball too.

Bubeaner and Sandy playing with the green ball.
She kept bringing it back to him to play.

Then when we were changing his dirty diaper Bubeaner decided to help out.  Double YUCK!  Bita said this was common occurrence and to get better at blocking helping hands.

Bubeaner following Dad up and down the hall.

Bubeaner looks so adorable when he walks in his walker.  He raises his hands above his head and races into mischief.  We are starting to fear the time when he will be completely mobile.  Today he discovered our baker's rack where we store some of our wine bottles.  He was unable to pull the bottles out for now, but they won't survive there for much longer.  We are now looking at buying some type of enclosed furniture to house them and other items currently within his grasp.

Bubeaner was not happy being photographed wearing his house shoes.

Happy Labor Day!

Happy Labor Day!

We started the day early since Bubeaner decided to wake up at 5a.  Even after eating he was wide awake.  Dad tried convincing him to sleep a little longer.  Bubeaner's answer?  Singing at the top of his lungs while knocked on the headboard.  This made for a sleepy Bubeaner later in the morning.

Napping on the daybed in the nursery
under aunt Pau's watchful eye.

We headed off to aunt AA and uncle Gary's home for a Labor Day cookout in the afternoon.  Bubeaner took his walker to show them his new moves.  It took him some time to warm up but was soon in his element.  He specially enjoyed the hamburger patti that cousin K cooked him.  Of course, he was watched carefully since Bubeaner likes to stuff his mouth.  He also tried some pickles and potato chips.  But the hamburger was his favorite.

Yummy!  Enjoying his first hamburger patti.

We enjoyed our slow weekend spending quality time with Dad and aunt Pau.  Dad returns to work tomorrow.  We worry since his back is really bothering him.  The pain is so bad at times that we are not sure how he will be able to make it until his surgery in 2 weeks.

A Relaxing Sunday

Once again we missed our mass because we were cuddling.  So we ended up going back to aunt Pau's church for 8a mass.  And Bubeaner actually behaved this time.  Ok, he usually behaves; he is, for some reason, just very vocal at this sanctuary.  Poor Dad's back was hurting him the entire time, but he made it through mass.  We spent the rest of the day resting, cuddling and relaxing.  It is wonderful to have the family together.  We missed Dad so much during his trip.

He loves to cuddle while he finishes it.

Dad's Home!

Dad's back home after a week-long business trip to Chile.  He was greatly missed by all.  His flight arrived extremely early this morning, 6a, but Bubeaner and Momma were delighted to go pick him up.  Bubeaner had been asking for Dada more and more every day.  He was really missing him.

Bubeaner cuddling with Dad.

Ironically, when he did see Dad, Bubeaner refused to look at him and actually pouted.  He was giving Dad the cold shoulder!  That did not last long because as soon as we were home and Dad picked him up Bubeaner was all smiles and giggles.  He immediately started playing with Dad's beard.  He loves to do that.  We believe it's the texture that draws his attention.

Bubeaner spent all day with Dad.
He was eating cereal while Dad watched football games.

The entire family, dogs included, took a well deserved morning nap together after breakfast.  It was wonderful to have the family together.  The rest of the day was spent relaxing and resting, Dad because of the trip/flight and Momma because of Bubeaner's recent restlessness at night.  This worked well with the start of our normal fall routine: Football Watching.  We started by watching the taped Cowboys game and followed with pretty much every other game on TV.  Bubeaner did sit and cuddle with Dad through most of them although he did not pay that much attention to the games.

The excitement of the day finally caught up with him.
Bubeaner fell asleep playing with Dad.

All the excitement of the day finally caught up with Bubeaner.  After a quick supper, he was ready for bed by 7p.  We have noticed that Bubeaner has moved his bedtime back to 7-730p now that the sun is setting earlier.  We find it amusing, although, we do wonder (hope?) why his wake-up time remains constant.  But it probably won't be changing any time soon since he "woke" up at the same time during the pregnancy.  Oh, morning babies!

Baby TV Dinners?

Bubeaner woke up crying in the middle of the night.  He would not settle down and was not even be distracted by food or the mobile phone!  That made Momma worry.  No interest in food or gadgets?!?  His tummy was pretty hard probably due to a possible tummy ache.  Eventually he settled down and slept with Momma the remainder of the night.  He woke up fine and with a massive dirty diaper confirming the tummy ache.  The nursery had to be aired out!  But Bubeaner was better, which was the important thing.

We picked up great aunt Raquel and cousin Abdon early this morning to join us for the women's church group.  Abdon stayed at church nursery.  Bubeaner could have stayed too but Momma is not to that point yet.  Bubeaner charmed the grandmothers again.  He continues to be a big flirt.  He is getting more comfortable moving around and took off right away on the walker.  He was a little more fussy whenever he could not see Momma.  Momma
had to be in his line of vision at all times.  But he entertained himself during the 3 hours.

Aunt Pau and the Aggie Bubeaner...
well, a NMSU Aggie in any case.

There was no problem getting him to take his nap today.  He was exhausted from the trip to pick up aunt Raquel and all that flirting.  In the evening, he had his first "big boy' dinner.  He was not too thrilled about it and took a lot longer eating.  After tasting it, Momma discovered it had no salt or seasoning of any kind.  Apparently, people that make baby food don't believe babies have a sense of taste.  His favorite part of the dinner was the applesauce.  i

Notice his less than enthusiastic attitude towards the food.

The puppies on the other hand were on guard for any dropped morsels.
They had no issues with the taste.

Bubeaner had a fun and relaxing bath afterwards.  He has become a wiggle worm moving every which way during his bath!  Thankfully, bath time is not as stressful since we are not high on the counter although we still have to be alert since he moves so much.  Soon we may even move to baths without his baby tub... maybe.

Tonight, he complained a little again at dinner and his tummy was a little hard again.  We will keep an eye on it.

Socializing Bubeaner

Today was the first day at Gymb0ree.  It was fun.  The funniest part was Bubeaner's reaction to the other babies.  He appeared surprised that there were so many little ones like him.  We somehow ended up sitting with boys.  However, something about Bubeaner drew the girls to him.  Every where we moved, the little girls flocked to him.  Bubeaner was mainly focused on the toys and fun music.  But he was intrigued by a cute little girl next to him.  It could possibly be because she was the only one smaller than him and the only other baby that preferred the military crawl.

We had lunch with Rikki and her baby daughter Lauren.  Bubeaner was not sure what to make of Lauren.  He was intrigued, suspicious perhaps, especially when his Momma was holding her.  But lost all interest once she was returned to her mom.  Afterwards, we went grocery shopping.  We have taken it for granted how wonderfully Bubeaner behaves whenever we are out either visiting or shopping.  But we have a renewed appreciation after hearing some of the stories shared during Gymb0ree.  We are indeed lucky!

Momma had left the container within reach.

He knew it contained his cereal,
but Bubeaner was not sure how to get to them

Bubeaner is spending more time directly interacting with the dogs.  He plays with them, chases them with his walker and enjoys crawling towards them.  He prefers to snuggle next to Sandy probably since she is older and not as rambunctious as Bevo the beagle.  Today he decided to crawl towards the dogs beds and rest his head on them.  We clean them often, but it's still gross!  Pillows did not grab his attention; he wanted the dogs' beds.

He also learned today that if he extends his hands towards the dogs they will lick them.  Double YUCK!  Bubeaner actually thinks it's humorous.  Every time they did it he would giggle.  This, of course, was a dead give away.  There was a lot of giggling today... and a lot of hand cleaning too.

Puppy Friends

The puppies are not so thrilled now that Bubeaner is more mobile.  He has figured out that with enough momentum he can get over the floor dividers.  There really is no safe place any more.  Well, that's what we thought until we found them in the closet.  The door is too narrow for the walker to get through.

Sandy hiding from the Bubeaner.

The puppies are also learning to watch out for the walker.  Bubeaner does not worry about who is in his way.  He has stepped on Bevo's tail quite a few times.  Bevo is usually distracted looking for food and thus an easy target.  But Bubeaner continues to befriend the puppies through food.  And the puppies are not complaining.  All is forgiven for food.

Bubeaner enjoying some cereal.

And then sharing it with Sandy.

Manic Monday

Bubeaner woke up in the middle of the night and wanted to eat.  He did go back to sleep and did not wake up until 730a.  However, that middle-of-the-night feeding wore Momma out.  He occasionally does it.  We have noticed that he tends to wake up at night when he takes his morning nap.  We are not sure why, but we will try to keep him from taking that morning nap for a while.

Bubeaner fell asleep holding on to his bottle.
He actually finished it.

He started crying the moment the bottle was taken away.

We gave him another bottle.
But is that a SMIRK?!

Fussy Bubeaner

Bubeaner had a pretty decent night's sleep even though he fought going to bed.  He woke up at 530a calling out for his DaDa.  He's a smart boy and knows that Momma is not the best bet in the morning.  However, this morning he was stuck with Momma.

Bubeaner has shown more interest in our every day activities.
He tried to help with the dishes today.

We lost so much time cuddling that we missed the 730a mass, but we were able to make it to the 8a mass at aunt Pau's church.  We had assumed Bubeaner always fussed when we visited aunt Pau's church because it was the 6p service.  Nope.  It appears he just has issues with the church or priest.  Period.  Bubeaner decided that if the priest could speak then he could also speak.  As the priest got louder...so did Bubeaner.  We had to step outside the building completely because even in the lobby Bubeaner was speaking his mind.

All that house work made for a tired Bubeaner.

Spent the rest of the day cleaning and relaxing back at the house where Bubeaner refused to take a nap without a crying fit.  But he finally settled down.  In the afternoon we were able to spend some time with Dad thanks to the webcam.

A but we had a relaxing bedtime routine including bath and cuddling.  Bubeaner was asleep by 8 with Momma following close behind at 9.  Good nights are a blessing.

Missing Dad

Today was a pretty busy morning.  We spent the first part making sure Dad's suitcase was packed for his trio to Chile.  He will be gone at least a week!  The rest of the morning was spent driving to and from Dad's work where he had forgotten some indispensable items for his upcoming trip.  It took quite a while since the office is pretty far from the house.  But we didn't complain.  We did not want to waste any time away from Dad before his flight that evening.

We stopped at Chuy's for lunch since Dad would be missing his Tex-Mex food during his trip.  Bubeaner enjoyed the visit too.  He has been eating a lot more table food.  He really enjoys the guacamole and chicken.  In fact, he LOVED it.

He was once again fussy during the afternoon refusing to take his nap.  This is a recent habit we hope he soon outgrows.  It really is no fun.  And he needs his afternoon naps.  He gets extremely fussy and grumpy if he does not take it.

It was sad to take Dad to the airport.  We miss Dad already, and he's only been gone only a few hours.  Of course, we are also worried about his back.  He was in so much discomfort at home that an 11-hour flight can't possibly make things better.

At home Sandy spent part of the night in the nursery with Bubeaner standing guard.  We are actually encouraging this because we want them to bond.  Sandy, being the older dog, was a big concern for us.  But she appears to have claimed Bubeaner as hers.

Clean Doggies

Today was a long day.  Nothing eventful happened today; the day was just L O N G.  We took the dogs to the groomers.  They needed it desperately.  Sandy looked like a street dog.  When we picked them up they were unrecognizable.  So much that Bubeaner kept staring at Sandy (her coat was shaved).  He was not sure it was the same dog.

Never Enough Grandmothers

We slept in! Well, we slept in until 6a this morning!  We are noticing a pattern:  Bubeaner wakes up earlier when he takes a morning nap the day prior.  If he does not, we sleep in until his breakfast at 6a.

Best Pals
Bubeaner petting Sandy.

Bubeaner took his walker to the women's group today.  He is usually in his car seat but last time Momma noticed he was more restless than usual.  And really, who would not be after 3 hours sitting in the same place?  The church does provide free child care during the meetings, but we are just not at that place yet.  And thankfully, Bubeaner is so well behaved that we don't need to consider it specially now with the walker.  It afforded him more mobility without going crazy and allowed Momma to stay longer.  The grandmothers all commented on how well he behaved.  But not content with getting some attention.  Bubeaner set out to woo each and every one of the grandmothers present.  He would flirt and giggle and smile at each one in turn!  The little monkey won a compliment from every single one.

Not sure what he was pouting about this time,
but he looks adorable in his little chair.

Momma and Dad love to sing.  Dad sings beautifully!  Momma... not so much.  But that has not stopped the singing to and with Bubeaner.  Bubeaner actually enjoys it.  This had lead Momma to believe that maybe the poor baby was also tone deaf.  That was until today.  Today Bubeaner actually laughed every time Momma sang to him!  And to make matters worse, Momma decided to try some national anthems.  Bubeaner tolerated Momma's rendition of the Mexican national anthem.  But he actually walked away (yes, he WALKED AWAY) all the way to the front door during the US national anthem.  And to add insult to injury (Dad's still deciding who the injured party was in this case), he started crying during the Russian national anthem.  It's pretty safe to say that Bubeaner may not be tone deaf after all.

Dogs Need Food Too!

Unfortunately, Dad is scheduled for surgery for his herniated disk in september.  We are not thrilled, but we hope this will finally ease Dad's back pain.  Coincidentally, the surgery falls during Grandma's visit.  The extra help will be great especially the day of surgery.  And we are sure Bubeaner will not miss Dad not holding him since Grandma will be around.

Bubeaner enjoying a mashed potato

Today we caught Bubeaner "feeding" Sandy using his spoon.  Thankfully we stopped him before he put it back in his mouth.  We imagine there will be times in the future when we won't be there to stop it.  Yuck!  This will take some getting used to on our part.  Sandy will have no such problems.

"But, Momma, you told me to share!"

One of the draw backs of wood floors is that they are harder on little heads than carpet.  We currently practice our exercises including crawling in the carpeted bedrooms.  However, most of the day is spent in the living/dining/kitchen area.  We tried using his play mat, but he's just outgrown it.  Bubeaner keeps crawling away from it and, of course, turning over and hitting his head on the wood floor.  We'll have to come up with a safe alternative.

Embracing the wild side

Bubeaner is also wearing shoes more often these days.  It is about time considering his vast collection of infant footwear.  The shoes appear to give him more traction on the floor while on his walker.  And he also looks quite dashing sporting them.

There are more signs that he is weaning himself.  Today he did not nurse at 3p.  He still nursed right before bedtime at 730p.  But we are beginning to think that is mainly for comfort since he usually fills up with baby food during his dinner at 6p.  It makes us feel better to know he is the one directing the weaning rather than us forcing it on him.  It feels more natural.

Early Riser

We spoke too soon.  Bubeaner decided to wake up at 430 this morning.  And it was not just the, "hey I'm making some noise but really still asleep."  He was WIDE AWAKE.  And he really did not go back to sleep until 10a.  Of course, he ended up taking a long morning nap.

During lunch, Momma and Bubeaner shared some chicken.  It's his new favorite food.  He is doing such a great job eating.  It will be interesting to find out how much he weighs now.

Bubeaner almost went from tummy to sitting.  We have been practicing it, and he's getting pretty close.  The rest of the day was spent cleaning out Bubeaner's closet.  During that time Bubeaner and Momma sand and dance around the nursery.  Bed time was early today since Bubeaner was fussy.  The exhausted parents were soon in bed too.

On a funny note, Momma heard a new telemarketer sales technique:  "Mrs. Momma, since you obviously do not work, you will appreciate our services."

Busy, Busy Day with His Girls

Poor Bubeaner he spent the whole day stuck with his Momma and aunt Pau doing "girly things."  He joined Momma for a quick trip to WW and a craft supply store.  But it was quick and he had plenty of bright things to draw his attention.

Bubeaner playing at the movie theater

He then went to his first ever movie at the theater.  He was stuck watching a chick flick: Julie & Juli@.  Bubeaner did not appear to mind.  He spent the the first part eating his Os.  And since he had eaten during the previews, Bubeaner soon fell asleep in his car seat.  He slept through the entire last half; the cotton in his ears and the cover on his car seat muffled the sound.  Although loud sounds don't really bother him; remember he lives with a beagle.  There are FEW things louder than a beagle.

Afterwards he went on his first G00dwill scavenger hunting trip.  And we found an AMAZING chair for just $10!  Once it gets new paint and sealer it will be perfect.  Bubeaner was really good during the visit.

At home, Bubeaner spent most of his time chasing the dogs in his walker.  He almost caught them a couple of times.  Aunt Pau discovered that Bubeaner is pretty good at mimicking sounds and rhythms.  She would tap out a (simple) melody and Bubeaner would imitate it.

We wondered if he would imitate other things too.  He watched a video of his BFF Nika crawling.  She looked so cute!  And Bubeaner agreed but was just not interested in this crawling business.  He proceeded to crawl (military crawl) away from the computer when the video was done.

He continues to eat more and more every day.  Bubeaner specially likes to eat our food.  Nursing is still his primary source of nutrition, but he is slowly and naturally weaning himself.
