Dad's Home!

Dad's back home after a week-long business trip to Chile.  He was greatly missed by all.  His flight arrived extremely early this morning, 6a, but Bubeaner and Momma were delighted to go pick him up.  Bubeaner had been asking for Dada more and more every day.  He was really missing him.

Ironically, when he did see Dad, Bubeaner refused to look at him and actually pouted.  He was giving Dad the cold shoulder!  That did not last long because as soon as we were home and Dad picked him up Bubeaner was all smiles and giggles.  He immediately started playing with Dad's beard.  He loves to do that.  We believe it's the texture that draws his attention.

The entire family, dogs included, took a well deserved morning nap together after breakfast.  It was wonderful to have the family together.  The rest of the day was spent relaxing and resting, Dad because of the trip/flight and Momma because of Bubeaner's recent restlessness at night.  This worked well with the start of our normal fall routine: Football Watching.  We started by watching the taped Cowboys game and followed with pretty much every other game on TV.  Bubeaner did sit and cuddle with Dad through most of them although he did not pay that much attention to the games.

All the excitement of the day finally caught up with Bubeaner.  After a quick supper, he was ready for bed by 7p.  We have noticed that Bubeaner has moved his bedtime back to 7-730p now that the sun is setting earlier.  We find it amusing, although, we do wonder (hope?) why his wake-up time remains constant.  But it probably won't be changing any time soon since he "woke" up at the same time during the pregnancy.  Oh, morning babies!
