Socializing Bubeaner

Today was the first day at Gymb0ree.  It was fun.  The funniest part was Bubeaner's reaction to the other babies.  He appeared surprised that there were so many little ones like him.  We somehow ended up sitting with boys.  However, something about Bubeaner drew the girls to him.  Every where we moved, the little girls flocked to him.  Bubeaner was mainly focused on the toys and fun music.  But he was intrigued by a cute little girl next to him.  It could possibly be because she was the only one smaller than him and the only other baby that preferred the military crawl.  

We had lunch with Rikki and her baby daughter Lauren.  Bubeaner was not sure what to make of Lauren.  He was intrigued, suspicious perhaps, especially when his Momma was holding her.  But lost all interest once she was returned to her mom.  Afterwards, we went grocery shopping.  We have taken it for granted how wonderfully Bubeaner behaves whenever we are out either visiting or shopping.  But we have a renewed appreciation after hearing some of the stories shared during Gymb0ree.  We are indeed lucky!

Bubeaner is spending more time directly interacting with the dogs.  He plays with them, chases them with his walker and enjoys crawling towards them.  He prefers to snuggle next to Sandy probably since she is older and not as rambunctious as Bevo the beagle.  Today he decided to crawl towards the dogs beds and rest his head on them.  We clean them often, but it's still gross!  Pillows did not grab his attention; he wanted the dogs' beds.

He also learned today that if he extends his hands towards the dogs they will lick them.  Double YUCK!  Bubeaner actually thinks it's humorous.  Every time they did it he would giggle.  This, of course, was a dead give away.  There was a lot of giggling today... and a lot of hand cleaning too.
