Change and More Change

Well, we start our next two weeks of change today with people coming and going.

Bubeaner decided it was good day to get up extra special early.  But we couldn't get upset since it gave him additional bonding time with Dad.  And today that was even more important.  Dad left on a business trip.  We are not sure if Bubeaner sensed it, but he was much better behaved today.  We still did not attempt church today because of other preparations we had to make for Dad's trip and our first set of visitors.

Bubeaner spent most of the day playing and over all we did not have any major tantrums.  He was reprimanded a few times by Meme'Licia, Dad and Momma for throwing toys down in frustration.  His impatience flares his temper.  But he needs to learn that is not appropriate behavior.  After each incident and reprimand, he resumed playing normally.

Bubeaner has not yet appreciated that Dad is not home.  He spent a lot of time with Dad in the morning and we were even able to share lunch together before the flight.  And Bubeaner is usually asleep by the time Dad gets home....  Although he did look up excited when aunt Pau got home today; he expected it to be Dad.  Tomorrow may be a completely different story.  (Sandy has already been moping around the house.  She was sitting by the garage door this afternoon waiting for Dad to get home.) 

But since this trip also coincides with several friends/family members vacations/spring breaks we are blessed with lots of visitors on and off throughout the next two weeks.  A full house will go a long way to distracting Bubeaner from missing Dad.  Although the mornings will probably still be the hardests for him.

Maybe Bubeaner will demonstrate to them his new trick.  Dad pretends to be talking to him from a helicopter radio when changing his diapers in the mornings (i.e. "Daddy copter here" Breep "Super Stinky Pants" Breep.... similar to dialogue on Black Hawk Down).  Well, today Bubeaner kept making that "breep" sound when people were speaking with him.

And on Bubita news, we rearranged the closet in the nursery!  We are planning on keeping Bubeaner and Bubita in the nursery together.  At least, that is the original plan.  We'll see how it ends up working once they are both in there.  Hopefully, they won't be waking each other up.  Thankfully that is still a ways away specially considering Bubita will be in the master bedroom until at least 4 months old if not a little longer.  In any case, we were able to rearrange and organize some items in the closet.  Now, Bubeaner AND Bubita will both have the same amount of closet space.  And we won't have to move the changing table from the closet either!
