Love is a CHOICE!

Eight years ago Dad and Momma vowed to love, comfort, honor and keep each other, in sickness and in health, for richer, for poorer, for better, for worse, in sadness and in joy, to cherish and continually bestow upon each other our heart's deepest devotion, forsaking all others for as long as we both should live.

Since then, we have learned a deeper appreciation of the vows we spoke that day.  We understand them a little better.  We know we have a long way to go still.  We have also learned the importance of putting our marriage first not letting work, hobbies, other responsibilities, and yes, even our precious babies, from devoting special time to our marriage.  We've surrounded ourselves with other couples who help us grow in our marriage.  Because the most important thing we have learned in the last eight years is that LOVE IS A CHOICE!  And every day, we choose to love each other and live the vows we made years ago.

And in the end, that is the best we can do for our children allowing them the opportunity to grow up in a family with both of their parents hopefully learning that it is a blessing to find a partner to walk along with you in this life.  But that marriage is a commitment that requires daily work and a conscious effort to love one another.
 

2010

We are grateful for the years we have faced together and look towards the time ahead of us grateful for the many blessings in our lives, for each other, for our children, and for our parents who taught us by example.
